"CELEBRATING THE HOLIDAYS" with NATIONAL CHAMBER ENSEMBLE

Soprano Nancy Peery Marriott will join the National Chamber Ensemble in a family-oriented holiday concert at the Rosslyn Spectrum Theatre at Artisphere on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at 4:30 p.m. Also featured in the concert will be guest violinists Andrew Lu (age 12) and Albert Shyu (age 10). Cecilia Cassidy, executive director of the Rosslyn Renaissance and the Rosslyn BID, will introduce the concert as guest host.

 Marriott will sing “Deck the Halls,” “Rocking,” “Ding Dong Merrily on High,” and a Christmas medley with the ensemble. The concert will also include music by Tchaikovsky, the Bach Concerto for Two Violins, and Leroy Anderson’s festive “Sleigh Ride.” The audience will be invited to join Marriott in a traditional carol sing-along to conclude the afternoon’s music. The concert will be followed by a meet-the-artists wine and cheese reception.
