Weekend Guide: Bach Festival, Community Yard Sale and More

The weekend has arrived! How are you going to spend it in Arlington and Washington?

1. 
20th Annual Bach Festival
When/Where:  7:30 p.m. Saturday, 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Grace Episcopal Church Georgetown, 1041 Wisconsin Ave., NW, Washington.
Why Go: Enjoy Con Brio! Saturday featuring Lawrence Molinaro on harpsichord, Shaughn Dowd playing flute and friends. The Saturday works includes the JS Bach Triple Concerto for Three, Violins in D Major, BWV 1064 and works by CPE Bach. Sunday treat your self to an organ performance by the founder of the Grace Church Bach Festival, Lawrence Molinaro.
Price: Suggested donation: $20 per person, per concert.

2. Community Yard Sale/Bake Sale in Rosslyn
When/Where: 8 a.m. Saturday at 2021 Key Blvd. in Arlington
Why Go: Shop more than 20 sellers and check out the baked goods while you're at it. See the event notice here.
Price: Free to attend.

3. Rosslyn Outdoor Film Festival showing 'Pretty in Pink'
When/Where: Friday at dusk (around 8 p.m.) at Gateway Park, 1401 Lee Highway, Arlington, Va.
Why Go: Enjoy an outdoor showing of classic '80s film "Pretty in Pink," starring Molly Ringwald. Pack a picnic, bring a blanket and enjoy a flick in Rosslyn with a view of Georgetown.
Price: Free.

4. Bloomers Grand Opening
When/Where: Saturday starting at 10 a.m. at Bloomers, 3210 O St. NW in Washington.
Why Go: The grand opening celebration will include refreshments — pink champagne and  bra-shaped cookies from Cake Love — prizes and gifts with a purchase from Spanx and Chantelle. July 13 also marks the launch of the Blooomers' "Keep Calm, Get Fitted" campaign, which encourages women to find the right bra size.
Price: Free to attend.

5. National Youth Orchestra of the U.S.A. at the Kennedy Center
When/Where: 8 p.m. Saturday at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, 2700 F St. NW. in Washington.
Why Go: According to the event notice, "The National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America brings together 120 of the most talented young players from across the country. For its inaugural season, famed maestro Valery Gergiev leads these remarkable teenagers and renowned violinist Joshua Bell on an international tour to music capitals of the world. "
Price: $10 to $64.
