Photo of the Day: The Views at Clarendon

The Views at Clarendon, a combination of market-rate and affordable housing, broke ground in late 2009. The 116-unit building will be a condo-church combination with The Church at Clarendon. The church was formerly First Baptist Church of Clarendon.

Development of this project sparked resistance from nearby residents -- leading to at least four lawsuits, including a First Amendment suit. Ultimately, plans were approved. The courts dismissed the First Amendment case.

The Views at Clarendon should be complete by December 2011.
