Here's to hoping for nice, warm weather this weekend because all the events listed here are planned outside. Rain, rain stay away.

Where/When: Rosslyn Gateway, 1911 Fort Myer Dr., Arlington. Friday, 8 p.m.

Why Go: The first film in this summer-long festival is "Groundhog Day." All the films this summer will feature actors from "Saturday Night Live." For a full list of this year's movie, check out the ran earlier this week.

Where/When: , 2600 O St., NW, Georgetown. Saturday, 10:30 a.m. t0 12:30 p.m.

Why Go: The event is free, the refreshments are free, and there will be live music. And if all that's not enough to convince you, there's going to be a petting zoo, too. has a run-down of the entire activity roster.

Where/When: 601 N. Manchester St., Arlington. Sunday, 9:30 a.m.

Why Go: This would be an awesome to get outside and explore our beautiful neighborhoods on a spring day. Proceeds from the event will support the Center for Celiac Research and the University of Maryland. According to the event listing, "The money raised will be used to fund research programs and to increase awareness of celiac disease. This non-timed event will be run on a 3.1 mile loop course that begins and ends at beautiful Bluemont Park in Arlington."

Pricing: Registration fees are $30 for teenagers and adults. Children under 13 years old can participate for $20.

Where/When: Wisconsin Avenue NW & P Street NW - between P Street and Resevoir Road - in Georgetown. Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m to 5 p.m.

Why Go: I love Paris in the springtime, too, but that doesn't mean I can afford a flight to France. Lucky me, I can just head out to the 8th annual Georgetown French Market this weekend. According to the event's website, this "open air market features over 30 Georgetown boutiques, antique shops, restaurants and galleries offering savings up to 70% off designer goods, art and antique home furnishings.  The event also features strolling musicians and mimes, children’s activities, live music and French cuisine from Georgetown cafes and restaurants."

Where/When: , 1644 31st St. NW, Georgetown. Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why Go: According to the event listing, "In celebration of Arbor Day, City of Trees author Melanie Choukas-Bradley will give a slide presentation highlighting the historic and botanically diverse trees of D.C. Followed by a lunch and tour, Bradley will discuss the involvement of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and other leaders in creating a 'city of trees.'"

Pricing: Tickets are $20.
