Five things to know about what's going on in and around Arlington.

1. Arlington County is hosting a home maintenance workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Arlington Career Center, 816 S. Walter Reed Drive. Learn how to do minor repairs and basic safety tips.

2. The Arlington County Police Department will close several roads Sunday for the Run for the Cause 8K race hosted by the Potomac River Running Club. North Quincy Street from Glebe Road to Wilson Boulevard will be closed from 5:30 to 10 a.m. Eastbound Wilson from Quincy to North 10th Street, Eastbound North 10th to Washington Boulevard, and Southbound Washington from North 10th to Columbia Pike till be closed from 7:45 to 10 a.m.

4. The Arlington County Board is considering raising taxi fees and requiring cabs to accept credit card payments by April. The basic fee would increase 25 cents plus 50 cents for each passenger over 12. Read more here.
