Five things to know about what's going on in and around Arlington.

1. Free pumpkin beer tasting from 6 to 8 p.m. today at .

2. Tonight's your last chance to weigh in on Metro's proposed bus route changes. from a Falls Church public input session earlier this week and details on tonight's session in Fairlington.

3. This is Fire Prevention Week. Arlington's 10 fire stations are hosting open houses from 10 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Take the whole family. Get pictures of your kids on a big red engine, and be sure to thank the firefighters you see for their hard work. It's good to let them know we appreciate their service even when there's not a major disaster going on!

4. Speaking of this weekend, Sun & Moon Yoga Studio and New Hope Housing have partnered to offer "Yoga for Good" from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the studio, 3811 Lee Highway. The event is free, though donations will be accepted to benefit New Hope Housing. That agency serves more than 1,200 homeless people annually, according to a news release.

5. Through its Eat Well, Do Well initiative, donated nearly $100,000 to 80 schools in the communities home to its restaurants. That includes $9,000 to nine Arlington County area schools, according to a news release.
