Church to Offer 'Ashes to Go' at Virginia Square Metro

St. George's Episcopal Church to assist busy commuters interested in observing Ash Wednesday.

Busy Catholics in Arlington can get their ashes to go this Ash Wednesday. 

A group from St. George’s Episcopal Church in Arlington will be distributing ashes in the Virginia Square Metro Plaza, according to a news release from the church. 

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent.

Representatives of the church will offer the ashes to anyone who wants them from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

One does not have to be a particular religion to receive the ashes.
