Audition for America's Next Top Model Saturday in Arlington

Tryouts for the reality show competition will take place at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City.

Do you have what it takes to be America’s Next Top Model?

Because on Saturday, auditions will take place at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City for the CW show’s 20th season, or “cycle” in the program’s lingo.

Typically, about 300 to 400 people show up for tryouts, said Jim Byrne, production director for WDCW-TV/DC50, the local CW affiliate that is hosting the casting call.

For the first time in the show’s history, male models will be included in the competition.

While the show’s star judge and creator Tyra Banks won’t be at Saturday’s tryouts, contestants will be recorded doing “the walk” — and maybe smizing — and will have their measurements taken down, Byrne said.

The video auditions will be sent to the show’s producers in Los Angeles.

“They look through every video,” Byrne said.

Tryouts are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the mall at 1100 S. Hayes St. Check the CW’s website for eligibility requirements.

The event will be followed by a 5 p.m. screening of The Carrie Diaries, a new CW program that is based on the prequel to "Sex & The City." It is not necessary to audition to participate in the screening. Reserve a seat.
