Snow in Saturday Forecast: Timeline, Snow Estimates

Daytime snowfall expected to produce limited accumulation.

Snow is back in the forecast this weekend for Virginia. The National Weather Service is predicting less than 1 inch of snow in the area.

The Weather Channel has your local weather forecast.

The timeline calls for a chance of snow from 7-10 a.m., followed by likely snow showers until the early afternoon. It'll begin to taper off and should be pushed out of the area by 6 p.m.

Accumulation estimates, by region, as of 12:30 p.m. Friday:

  • Fredericksburg: 0.7 inches
  • Woodbridge: 0.9 inches
  • Fairfax: 0.9 inches
  • Arlington: 0.8 inches
  • Leesburg: 0.8 inches
  • Georgetown: 0.8 inches
There will be another chance for light snowfall Sunday. And a chance of snow back in the forecast Wednesday.
