Make your Wednesday nights count: Be a Mentor!

Make your Wednesday nights count: Be a Mentor!

Space of His Own is seeking a few more good men to participate in the kickoff year of the program! As a mentor with Space of His Own, you will make a difference in the life of a fifth grade boy as together you learn carpentry and woodworking, eat a delicious dinner, and spend time fishing or shooting hoops. After building a chest, lamp, desk caddy, and more, you’ll have the opportunity to renovate the boy’s room to truly give him a Space of His Own. Space of His Own meets Wednesday evenings during the school year at the Alexandria Seaport Foundation from 5:30pm-8:00pm. For more information about this innovative program, attend an orientation on Wednesday, September 18 at 5:30pm at the Alexandria Seaport Foundation located at 2 Duke Street, Alexandria. To register for the orientation or for more information, please e-mail Ashley.Snyder@alexandriava.gov.
