Grace Kumah Banahene started Grace’s Pastries of Herndon, Virginia in 1987. Her cozy shop offers delicious bakery items, as well as gourmet foods. Grace also sells her featured breads, cookies and other fine baked goods at farmers markets and festivals throughout the northern Virginia and D.C. area.
Oh! Mercy Hot Sauce
Oh! Mercy is a French-West African gourmet hot sauce. Combining a culinary tradition of hearty cooking from Africa and flavorful sauces from France, this blend of fresh spices and habanera peppers produces a sauce that is not only hot but delicious to the palate.
Penn Farm - Colonial Beach, VA
James Smith offers a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. He snagged a mention in Washingtonian magazine as one of the best vendors to purchase tomatoes from in the greater Washington area.
Terrapin Station Herb Farm - York Springs, PA
Carl Purvenas-Smith and Mark Brabazon grow organic fruits, vegetables and herbs that are recognized as Certified Naturally Grown. Terrapin Station Herb Farm, founded in 1989, is located in York Springs, Pennsylvania. Produce that does not sell at markets is made into jams, jellies or chutney.
Valdez Brothers - Colonial Beach, VA
Lucas Valdez has been farming 20 acres in Montross, Virginia, on the Eastern Shore for about eight years. His extended family is involved with the farm, including his cousin Juan Flores who comes to the Rosslyn Farmers Market. Valdez Brothers sell their vegetables at farmers markets all over Virginia.
Wild Rose Soap Company, Md
Wild Rose Soap Company of Gaithersburg, Maryland specializes in all natural, handcrafted luxurious body products, including soap, lotion, body scrubs, bath bomb cupcakes, herbal bath teas, and bath salts. The company strives to use local ingredients whenever possible, such as wool from local farms for their felted soaps and beeswax from Banner Bees for the solid lotion and lip balms. Their cupcake bath bombs make great Mother's Day, birthday, baby, bridal shower, and wedding favors. Wild Rose Soap Company also makes a special shaving soap that is great for both men and women and a handmade baby soap that is loaded with olive oil to gently cleanse sensitive baby skin. A variety of essential oils also adds a wonderful fragrance to our soaps, lotions, and bath bombs.
