Overcrowding in Our Schools

3939 Campbell Ave, Arlington, VA | Get Directions »
$50.00

With growth comes challenges. Especially at school.

From 2000 to 2012, Arlington County saw an 11.7 percent jump in its overall population, representing an additional 1,400 school-age children. Like a milk-guzzling teen, that number is projected to keep on growing. As overflowing classrooms are being pushed into trailers, Arlington County must make adjustments across the entire school division in order to continue to provide quality instruction. Join Leadership Arlington in this important community discussion about the factors that will  impact our community’s school system for decades to come.

Speakers include:

  • Dr. Patrick Murphy, Superintendent of Arlington County Public Schools
  • Greg Hamilton, Publisher of Arlington Magazine
  • Alan Howze, Fiscal Affairs Advisory Commission.
