“Summer Sojourn” will be the theme of the NoVA Lights Chorale spring concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, at Arlington Presbyterian Church, 3507 Columbia Pike.
The 40-member community chorus will sing laid-back summer and travel songs such as “Route 66,” “Summertime,” “Ease on Down the Road,” “Up, Up And Away” “Big Easy on My Mind” and the Japanese “Song of the Beach.”
Also performing will be the Arlingtones Barbershop Chorus and NoVA Lights member Kristine Gabster with her original composition, “Movin’ On.” Admission is free.
The one-year-old chorus, directed by Barbara Stefan, previously held a concert marking the 10th anniversary of 9/11, a Veterans’ Day tribute and a December holiday concert.
