Breaking: Dawkins' Death Ruled a Homicide »
Welcome back, Patch Blogger!
Redford and Ice are Australian shepherds from the same breeder. They live with their dad, Matt Mullin, and they hang out at Shirlington Park. When they aren't playing there, Ice, who is 2 years old, is a show dog, and 3-month-old Redford is preparing for shows once he turns 6 months.
Scruffy is a 3-year-old rescue living with his dad Joel in Clarendon. Scruffy is an Irish terrier and has taken to his roots. He celebrates his birthday on St. Patrick's Day.
Charlie is a 4-year-old Boston terrier who comes to work every day with mom, Alex Barse, to Free People in The Market Common Clarendon. Charlie is a friend to all creatures, loves smelling flowers on their walks, and hates being touched, Barse said. To her, he is the best dog in the world!
Jordan and Teddy, 3 and 4 years old, respectively, are miniature poodles living in Clarendon with their mom, Kelly Friend.   Jordan is the alpha at home, while Teddy is the alpha outside. They love to watch television and bark at Brian Griffin, the talking dog of "Family Guy" fame. Catch Arlington Paws every Tuesday at Patch!
Nick is a 4-year-old Lab mix who lives with the Freeman family in Clarendon. Nick is shy, but affectionate. He loves his afternoon walks with Mom -- Mary -- through James Hunter Park at the corner of 13th and Herndon streets. Catch Arlington Paws every Tuesday at Patch!
This week, Patch kicks off a new feature to showcase some of the area's four-legged friends. Our first feature: Sloane, a 2-year-old Lab/pit mix, lives with her owner, Emily Huners, in Clarendon. Sloane is a rescue from Boone, N.C., where she was found on the side of a highway. She is a sweet girl and loves to cuddle, but watch out for her tail -- it is a weapon!
