Two Charged with Assaulting Cab Driver in Ballston
Ramnik Aulakh, 30, of Arlington, and Elizabeth Arias, 29, of Bowie, Md., were charged in the Saturday night incident.
Two people are charged with assaulting a cab driver after exiting the taxi without paying, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
Ramnik Aulakh, 30, of Arlington, and Elizabeth Arias, 29, of Bowie, Md., were charged with malicious wounding, defrauding a taxi and being drunk in public. They were held without bond, police reported.
According to police, just after 4 a.m. on Saturday, the two passengers got out of the cab on the 900 block of North Randolph Street in Ballston without paying. When the driver confronted them, they started punching and kicking the driver, according to a police report.
A concierge at a local residence saw the attack and tried to stop it, but the concierge was punched as well, according to police.
