Serial Bank Robber Hits Sixth Arlington Bank

Security cameras captured the clearest images yet of a suspected serial bank robber who has held up six Arlington banks in three months -- including one this week.

"Exactly," said Arlington County Police Detective Crystal Nosal. "Somebody's got to know who he is."

The latest heist came at about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday at the BB&T at .

The man entered the bank, announced he was robbing it, and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a police statement. Nosal would not say how much money he got away with, citing department policy.

He did not imply he had a weapon. No one was injured, Nosal said.

Of the six banks local and federal investigators believe was robbed by this man, two robberies have been at repeat locations -- .

Investigators are looking for a white man with brown hair, about 50 years old and about 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a thin build. At the time of the most recent robbery, he wore a gray T-shirt, khaki pants, a brown belt, a light hat and sunglasses.
