Expect closures this week in both east and westbound lanes on Route 50 from 10th Street to North Rhodes Street as part of an ongoing project.
The Virginia Department of Transportation has planned construction starting Monday and continuing until Friday. Closures will occur from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. westbound and from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. eastbound, according to VDOT.
The westbound Arlington Boulevard exit onto North Courthouse Road has been closed since July 11. This closure/detour is scheduled to continue until later this year.
The $39 million project on Route 50 won’t be complete until fall 2013, with more closures scheduled periodically until then. To read more about plans for the project, visit the project webpage.
