I’m Rachel Hatzipanagos, your new editor for Clarendon-Courthouse-Rosslyn Patch.
Don’t worry, you’ll still see Jason Spencer around town, covering Ballston-Virginia Square Patch. We’ll be sharing the responsibilities for reporting in this diverse county.
I join the site from Fairfax Station Patch, and before that, Hybla Valley Patch. My background is in newspapers, but I’ve gradually honed my skills in online media. You’ll find me juggling a notebook, camera, and iPhone on the scene.
As an Arlington resident, I’m eager to explore the community from a journalist’s point of view. When I’m not writing and reporting, you can find me reading a good book or looking for the next food festival (there is not a genre of food I don’t enjoy).
Feel free to shoot me an email at rachelh@patch.com or call me at 571-212-7455 if you have any article ideas, complaints, or suggestions. I look forward to hearing from you!

I would like to see more reporting about all the candidates, not just the major party candidates, election season is starting. There is more than enough reporting about food, restaurants, and dining.

Thanks, Paula I will keep that in mind. If you have a particular candidate in mind and contact information for them, feel free to send that my way at rachelh@patch.com. Thanks again.

Hi, there are 4 candidates running for Congress in the 8th CD, also 3 candidates for County Board, so can Patch feature one local candidate every week?

We are in the early stages of putting together a televised forum for the three county board candidates. Stay tuned!

I would like to see an in-depth report about each of the candidates on Patch. There is too little information about the people who make or could make important decisions that affect our lives but we are deluged with information about food and restaurants.
