iPhone Fans Line up at Clarendon Apple Store
Customers were prepared to camp out overnight.
At least 20 people lined up outside the Clarendon Apple Store Thursday to await the new iPhone 5.
“We brought chairs, pillows, blankets, iPads, movies, headphones,” said Jeremy Lydia, 25. “It’s like a camping trip.”
Lydia and his wife, Rebeca, 22, sold their iPhone 4 phones for the newest generation.
“We couldn’t think of anything better then waiting with some of the greatest customers in the world,” Jeremy Lydia said.
The store officially opens for business at 8 a.m. Friday. The company reports that pre-orders of its iPhone 5 topped 2 million in just 24 hours.
