Today 16 star figure skaters are coming to the Kettler Capitals Iceplex to raise money for the next generation of Olympic athletes.

Now in its eighth year, the Michael Weiss Foundation’s “Ice Champions LIVE!” event will feature star skaters including Brian Boitano, Ashley Wagner, Ryan Bradley and Kimmie Meissner.

In the last eight years, the foundation has raised $500,000 in scholarship money for Olympic hopefuls.

The event starts at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex, 627 N. Glebe Road. Tickets are no longer being sold online.
