1. Midsummer Night's Dream Art Soiree
When/Where: 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at The Washington Harbour (3000 K Street, NW).
Why Go: This 21-and-older event features local artists and plenty of pageantry, like a "Fastasy Body Painting Show." According to the event notice, the night is a "fantastic, fairy-laden setting of color, art and music."
Pricing: $15 in advance, $20 at the door.

Why Go: The 36th annual fair features pig races, funnel cake, pony rides and more. Stop by the Patch table to say "hi" and pick up some Patch gear!
Pricing: Admission is free, but games, food, rides, etc. vary in price.
When/Where: 9 a.m. Saturday at Lululemon (3265 M St., NW)
Why Go: The event notice invites athletes to "check out our clinic to run faster & pain free with improved running form; obtain your Boston qualifying time; be competitive in your age group; have fun!"
