Extreme Pizza to Open Soon in Pentagon City
The gourmet pizza spot brings 'extreme' flavor combinations.
Extreme Pizza hopes to open in the Pentagon City area soon, bringing pizza with off beat toppings such as mandarin oranges.
“We have extreme flavor profiles,” said John Manecke, co-owner of the restaurant who lives in Arlington.
Some of their “extreme pizzas” include the “Ragin Rooster” with barbeque chicken and red onions, and the “Holy Cow!” with four different kinds of cheeses.
The pizza place will be located at at 1419 S. Fern St., across from the Costco. Manecke hopes to open in March, but said that they don’t have a firm opening date just yet as they work through permitting and construction issues.
Extreme Pizza is part of a California-based franchise, with another carry-out location in Vienna. The upcoming restaurant would be the first branch in the region to include a sit-down place to eat and a wine and beer bar, Manecke said.
“Where we are there is a lot of additional development in both office and residential. We like the location a lot,” Manecke said.
The restaurant will have promotions for their grand opening, details are to come.
