Filmmakers can start thinking of ideas now for the 2013 Rosebud Film & Video festival.

The deadline is Oct. 28 for filmmakers to submit their work for the annual Rosebud Festival. For 21 years, the festival has awarded five $1,000 prizes to video artists in the Washington, Maryland and Virginia area.

The festival will take place on Jan. 12 at the Artisphere. The Rosebud Awards Gala will be held on Jan. 13 at the Clarendon Ballroom.
