But with the polls closed, O'Sullivan's Irish Pub won our latest Readers' Choice contest with 56 percent of the 92 votes cast. Congratulations for getting picked as the best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Clarendon, Courthouse or Rosslyn!
All three establishments have special St. Patrick's Day events planned for Saturday:
- O'Sullivan's has the Boyle School of Irish Dance from 5:30 to 6 p.m., and Williem Dickie Live plays from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
- Ri Ra's party starts at 8 a.m. with Irish breakfast. Williem Dickie starts playing at 11 a.m. The 19th Street Band goes on at 4 p.m., and Dr. Fu goes on stage at 10 p.m.
- Doors open at 7:30 a.m. at Ireland's Four Courts. A heated tent will be set up, and live music will be provided from five different bands between 11 a.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday -- including Tommy Gann, Pete Baker, Brad and Smiling Rob, and Sanford Markley.
Our nearby Patches featured the same topic this week for their own Readers' Choice contests. Georgetown Patch readers chose The Tombs as the best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Union Jack's won the honor over at Ballston-Virginia Square Patch. And readers of Falls Church Patch say Ireland's Four Provinces is the best place to go green Saturday.
Let these places -- and the community -- know how your celebration went by rating and reviewing your favorite spot on Patch Places!

Even after extending the voting deadline for our previous Readers' Choice contest, only a few votes were cast in the contest to deterimine who has the best child care in the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor. Two establishments tied for first place, though one got a negative review from a reader. So, we're happy to give the Readers' Choice title in that category to the YMCA Arlington Branch. Congrats!
