Clarendon Company Earns Remodeling Honor

Clarendon's Michael Sauri earns exclusive remodeling honor.

Remodeling magazine named Michael Sauri, president of Clarendon-based TriVistaUSA, one of the "Big 50" Remodelers in the U.S. Sauri received the award on Friday at the Remodeling Leadership Conference and will be featured in the May issue of Remodeling Magazine.

“It’s a huge validation,” said Sauri.  “It’s wonderful to be honored by our clients, that’s the gold standard.  But it’s quite nice to be honored by our friends, our peers in the industry as well as our competitors.”

Sauri pointed out that among the nearly 800,000 remodeling companies in the country, only about 200,000 are actually licensed and insured.  “To be named in the 2011 Top 50. . .that’s a very exclusive group.”

When it comes to the Arlington market, Sauri said “there’s no land available.  If you want to live in Arlington you’re either living in a condo or you’re going to be remodeling a house.”

He said local condo dwellers who decide to move into an older home are faced with the challenge of transitioning their modern lifestyle into a house built for a bygone era.

“People don’t want to take their cool furniture and put it in a 1940s house that is falling apart,” Sauri said.

So his company transforms these older homes.  They ensure structural integrity, update interior and external finishes and “make it beautiful,” Sauri said.
