Best Beer Selection, Round 2: Lyon Hall Narrowly Wins
Lyon Hall beat Galaxy Hut by a single vote.
After another highly competitive week, Lyon Hall won the second round of our Readers' Choice contest for best beer selection in Clarendon.
Lyon Hall received 45 percent of the vote in our latest contest — coming in just a single vote ahead of Galaxy Hut.
I wanted to check with our legal and contest teams before picking a winner. Galaxy Hut had a positive review in Patch Places, but it came back in February — not during contest week. And despite several positive reader comments for the Hut, those comments only come into play when there's a tie between the winner with the most votes and the one with the most positive reviews.
Whew.
In a few weeks, we'll hold a third and final round in this category — so feel free to make suggestions as to who should compete below. After that, we'll pit Round 1 winner Mad Rose Tavern against Lyon Hall and the winner of Round 3.
Also: After extending voting a week, looks like H&R Block was our readers' choice for the best place to get last-minute tax services.
