The Courthouse area’s Bayou Bakery will host a toy drive Wednesday to help the children in the Atlantic City area affected by Hurricane Sandy.
“Being from New Orleans, I personally understand the effects of hurricanes on communities,” Bayou Bakery Chef David Guas stated in a news release.
The bakery will give chocolate peanut sandies to anyone who comes in with a toy to donate. The bakery is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 1515 N. Courthouse Road.
Chef Robert Wiedmaier of Mussel Bar will personally deliver the toys to Galloway Community Center in New Jersey.
